"I've liked Lamarque from the very first time he shot me. There's always been a certain level of professional respect between the two of us, even if we were generally operating on different sides of the law. He's retired now, living it up out in Monte Carlo, but he's still got his hands in a lot of different pots. I should look him up..." - Janus
Francois Lamarque is a former French mercenary and master criminal who worked throughout Eastern Europe and North Africa during the second half of the twentieth century. Over the course of his career he often clashed with the young CIA agent David Grey, and the two of them built up a sort of rapport, neither ever completely gaining the upper hand. In the mid-90s, Lamarque took his considerable personal fortune and retired to a small island off the coast of Greece. He maintains a large network of contacts and likes to keep abreast of new developments in the community, even as he enjoys his retirement.
